Many of us work towards looking and feeling our best.
Losing those extra inches...or fitting into that little dress...or lifting that next weight.
What really motivates you to care for your body? As a Christian, do you look at your body as a gift that you must nurture and care for? Do you perceive your body as a way to glorify God for your life that was purchased for a price?
"Our bodies are sacred temples for God’s Spirit."
“Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is sacred, and you are that temple.” (1 Corinthians 3:16-17)
"Whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." (1 Corinthians 10:31)
"For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church." (Ephesians 5:29)
Just as we need the energy to be good mothers, we must also have that energy to spread God’s love and word. "If we are called by God to spread the Gospel and be His children here on Earth, shouldn’t we honor Him by being that healthy, living vessel that he needs?"
Three Ways To Do This:
1. SPIRITUAL HEALTH
2. PHYSICAL HEALTH
3. MENTAL HEALTH
May we not forget that the Bible says taking care of our body is so important because we can receive what God wants to do for our hearts.
